Default Is Tekin FX Pro ESC any good?

Hi all,

I'm new to EP and am looking to purchase a Tekin FX Pro for use with my Tamiya Speed Tuned motor (brushed) and Tamiya M05; because M-Chassis races are restricted to Speed Tuned motors where I'm at so the only significant difference will be the ESC choice.

Can someone out there share their experience, i.e. whether its a good ESC, e.g. compared to LRP Quantum 3 or other brand brushed ESCs?

Any recommendations which ESC is best to use?

Thx in advance!!

The FX Pro speedy is an excellent brushed speed controller due to its size and features for specifically brushed motors.

I have had several in the past in different cars and worked faultlessly

I'm currently using one in my ABC Genetic hooked up to a silver can. I bought this primarily because it has a lipo cutoff. Not many brushed speedos have this feature. I dynoed my silver can connected to the FX and a novak GTX. The FX gave me about 300 more RPMs. I know that's not much but I don't think you can get much out of a silver can just by replacing your speedo. Just sharing my personal experience.

Definitely the best speed control for brushed motors I've ever used.

The FX Pro rocks. Best ESC I've owned. The ease of adjustment puts everything else absolutely to shame. The regular FX is also good, but if your ever going to put anything lower than a 19t into your car I would go for the Pro.

Default FX (not FX Pro) for sale NIB!

Got a Tekin FX (not pro) brand new sealed in box if you're interested. Excellent esc wouldn't spend the extra money on a pro unless you're gonna run some hot brushed motors. PM me. Thanks.

Hey Golem!

You better believe it, its tiny, lightweight and unbelievably easy to program and of course what you really want to know its fast!

For sports tuned motors there is no reason at all for you to run the Pro. The FX will do the job perfectly.

You’re also likely to notice decreased comm. Wear, which is helpful especially helpful in those non rebuildable motor classes

I stopped reading there.

Tekin makes, in my opinion, THE BEST speed controller on the market that is unmatched. You will do well to get the FX for your brushed motor. Then you will join the rest of the Tekin owners in expressing your joy of owning such fine quality.

Yes, it is one of the best brushed speedo's.

Anybody got a good setup for RS540 motors?

Medium sized, good traction asphalt track. Avg laps times are about 17s and with a good 50-60 metres (i may be wrong) or shorter straight.
