What's your input on 1/10 Electric Touring Min weight?
 

The min T2 Touring Car weight to be used for this event will be 1420 grams / 50Oz /3.125LB

Should we stick with Current ROAR 1500g or 1450g as same as IFMAR or change it to 1420g?

Me personally I like the weight change. I think it is more inline with what cars should weigh with todays lipos.

I'm all for the weight reduction. It will reduce cost in the long run. Tires, wear & tear parts will last longer. Its about time...

1450. Keeps us inline with the rest of the world.

Should be kept at 1500. At some point you are going to exclude certain cars because they could never balance and stay at the minimum weight. Like the Phi where the lipo hangs off the side. Once you balance the car its going to be over 1420g.

I personally think 1420 is the way to go. I have rebalanced my car for 1420 and found that I needed to add approximatly 70-72 grams. Overall it's just much easier. :nod:

What car and what size lipo?

What was wrong with leaving the weight the same and making tougher cars? Or giving new life to heavy older cars?

I suspect whoever drafted the rule must run a Losi Type R :lol:

I like the 1420. I had no problems balancing my Xray 009.

However, I think the min weight for foam tire sedans need to be addressed. The rubber tire cars are now at the same weight.

I would have no problem with 1420, but I think for the sake of standardization 1450 would be best. Lighter is better!

I got my rubber car at 1425 with no issues at all!! :nod: I had to add very little weight to get it there with a Lipo. But I had nothing to do with the ruling. :D

The lightest I can get a Phi balanced to is 1475 unless I put a smaller lipo in (currently have a Reedy 5000mah in). The lipo has to hang off the side due to the short top deck. Car is heavy to the battery side with lightweight electronics. Adding all the weight to the outside of the electronics side.

I've been a big fan of what ROAR has been doing lately but I hope this doesn't become a standard rule. Would be ashame to penalize certain car designs.

maybe 1500 for VTA though.

we've been running 1400g or 1425g incl transponder since the start of the year. On my T2 008 i still need to add around 70g to make weight. This is using a SMC 40C 5200 (weighs 310g)
