I have looked and can't seem to find what i need to complete the car anywhere. I am missing the "MB" parts bag , the one with the battery retainer screws , servo saver bits and all the M4 nuts.

Does anyone know who i should contact or where i can get these parts from?

Am rather dissapointed at 3racing's lack of customer service.
Try emailing Inzane his got alot of 3racing in stock.. look at inzaneracing.se But an email/pm is a good start.

I'll try to remember to get some. It bolts directly on though. The only thing I had to do was sand the upper deck a bit where it attaches to the servo mount because the Tamiya servo mounts have a little lip that the deck hits.

I have done this also. It all bolts straight on. You need the F104 front wing, the f104 servo holder, and the f104 front suspension arms. Also, you'll need F104 front tyres, as the f103 front tyres dont fit on the f104 front end.

Everything bolts straight on.

and what is the benefit of f104 front suspension?

from what i have found car handling is mostly about right tires.

That's it...at our track the F104 tires are handling the best. Not to mention the F103 tires are a lot harder to get.

Don't need the F104 front wing...any F103 or the 3Racing front wing will work.

Yes but you have to pay international shipping...our LHS can bring in F104 tires easily from US distributors.

Also there is a better selection of bodies for the F104 than the F109 that would look very strange with the F103 sized tires and width.

Guy at out local indoor cleaned up with his 109 last weekend.
I kept swapping all day from my 103 to my 109...Chose the 103
for the main and had some servo problems.
Overall my 103 was faster but I was MUCH more consistent with the 109 (top 20 laps were closer).
Not bringing the 103 to the track this weekend as I want to get the 9'er dialed in.

Default setup

Hi guys just some questions on setup for ashphalt.. for a F1-09 newbie. F1 total newb.

I have noticed allot of people are using the yellow 13-14lb tamiya spring. Rather then the kit spring. Does this give more rear traction or make the rear more stable? is that what the harder main spring does?

Also I am doing the CRC mod for the side springs.. what should I be looking for in adjusting these springs? Softer more grip like TC? Or harder to stop roll?

With the front springs do most of you use the kit springs? or is there other springs that can be used? Such as associated?

Inzane I saw you were using 3mm of drop in your setup.. would you recommend this for kit foam on ashalt on a smooth track.. or was it just for the bumpy track you were on?

I have done a ton of reading.. its just hard to get specifics on the f109..

Thanks
