Just want to say this car Drives Rings around my F104
Just first tests with two box stock cars
F104 is so hard to drive straight
F109 is so easy to drive rear end is planted on the ground and I can full throttle without braking traction unlike the F104 spinning very time I throttle more than half

And yes, the 3Racing front end is flexi-flyer compared to the Tamiya graphite one, I've tried both on my 15th. About the only advantage to the 3Racing one is adjustable camber so the tires don't cone. The caster adjustment was a waste of time. You have to run much stiffer springs to make up for the flexibility. Unfortunately, much stiffer springs make the e-clip retainers pop off easier if you whack a board the wrong way, resulting in amusing traction-rolls on VHT.

Wohoo - my F1-09 arrived yesterday
I'm very impressed by the high quality of both the FRP chassis parts as well as the blue alu parts. The plastic is, as said before, a lot flexier compared to the Tamiya F104. But I don't think this will be a problem.
The manual is first class - one of the best I've ever seen in my 35 years in the hobby!
But I think they made a miss on page 4&5 - the upper front caster mount should be mounted the other way around (the hinges to the rear - not to the front as in this picture)
The body is nice - but then again not as nice as the original F104 body.
This kit must, without a doubt, be the best value on the market today!
You're just being ironic -- right?

I have to agree with zombies, The HPI F10 does look like toy next to this thing. So is RC mart the only place you can purchase this car from? thanks

So do you guys think this this car is going to require the f103 front suspension to make it stiffer and better to drive?

Does look impressive!!! It will be cool to see how it performs. Looks like G-10 fiberglass--no carbon?

i see no reason to touch anything if the car aint broke....
and guys, pls note that the car's balance is the best when used with the stock tires in the kit... i changed to the tires that i used for my f103 and that really upset my car balance..... needless to say, the 3racing tires are now back on the car....
