You'll need to cut down the pins for the top deck, and secure them. I JB Welded them in the hole.

You'll need to dremel off part of the spring cup on the bulkhead to clear the spring retainer. Remove the spring retainer on the lower pod plate. Then screw the 4-40 screw into the bulkhead, screw on the CRC spring reatiner and attach the CRC side spring. I used red for carpet, but there is a good selection in the kit. You now have a wide variety of springs and also tweak control for the car.

That is a good idea I have two cars. I am going to start on one of my today and leave the other stock.

You need each size 2 items of: 3X18mm, 3X35mm and 3X45mm.
From myself for matching the blue color i use: Tamiya 18mm aluminium, HB 34mm blue titanium and AE 1.775(45mm) titanium.
Don't worry for the aluminium ones tweak, in fact they are so short, i don't believe it will have trouble so easily.

What the hell,
these cars are rubbish, so are the mini calss HPI's. There are plenty of reviews that prove this. Their cyclone world edition style cars are proven but they cant do cheaper cars good at all. I'd get the 3R anyday. i've had plenty of HPI's and havent been impressed with any..... just my 2 cents. other may disagree

as an owner of both cars, so far i agree with you. for me rite now its hard to compare cuz i havent tried foams on the hpi or rubber on the f109. but yes the f109 looks and feels like a race car. the hpi looks and feels like a spec or toy car. well maby not a toy but a spec car kinda like a slash. not talkin crap about the slash, i have one and like it.

Default stock

I should have about 5 of these coming, at some point. Had a few people asking me about them for a few weeks now, and am in the middle of building mine right now.

Inzane,

By to looks of your pictures you posted earlier, does the battery connectors interfere with the top deck? I have the same type of batteries in transit to me right now.

3racing offers both soft and medium. Are the kit tires medium or soft?

OM

The Lipo is placed with the connector plugs facing the rear. There are two holes in the upper plate for the male plugs to go through.

As for the two different compounds I think the medium are front tires and the soft are for the rear.

Hi Guys,

I have a couple of questions for my F109 that is being delivered next week.
First of all will a normal steering servo fit or do I need to get a low profile one?

what up grades do you recomend I will be running on low traction asphelt with a 17.5 brushles motor.

last of all what spares should I stock up on for racing?

Cheers.
