Anyone disposing their 109's? I need a roller to be used as parts donor for an F1 project.

Had my f109 on my club's indoor carpet track for thee first time this past Sunday (10/7/12). All I have to say is bad fast!!
We run 3 5 minute heats & 7 minutes mains.
My results:
Heat #1: 2nd -- soft springs up front, 4000mah 2S LiPo, silver can motor, tire sauce on both rears & inside edges of each front
Heat #2: 2nd -- same settings except used a 5500mah 2S LiPo & tire sauce on rears only
Heat #3: 1st -- came from 2 laps down to win race by 2 laps over 2nd place, NO tire sauce, 4000mah LiPo
A-Main: 3rd place, No tire sauce, same settings, 5500mah LiPo
I used my brand new f103 spoked rims with Tamiya 3630 Fronts & Tamiya 3645 Rears.
72T spur & 20T pinion, and SXT 3.0 tire compound. Not bad results considering Saturday was the first time running it on carpet.

If so, how is the front body post mounted??
Pictures would be helpful. Thanks

All 3Racing F1-09, Tamiya F103 and Corally F1 cars at our track run TRG spoilers.
5016/5026 front
5017/5027 rear
I'll ask IJdod to post a picture regarding the front body post. We mount the body post on the front spoiler. There's a special indent where you can mount it.

If possible, one with body one to see where hole is.
Also how front post is mounted on spoiler.
Thanks again.

Can a F1 car be raced on a surpace that is not perfectly smooth. our club race TC/GT and mini's but the track isn't perfectly smooth we have been doing a lot of work to smooth it out but it is a older surface with cracks and a dip that runs where a valley drain runs across one end of the track.
In the spring we will smooth these areas with some asphalt sheet mix and repair most of or cracks but even after these repairs the track will not be perfectly smooth.

And be warned no matter how hard you try, touring cars will still pass you like you are on reverse.

I'm looking to change the spring on my top mounted shock. I have a red spring on now, not sure what brand, was on from previous owner.
What kind of spring do I need??
Any recomendations for hardness (color)??
What colors are what in regards to hard/medium/soft??

I'll either have to find some standoffs from another vehicle that will fit, or I will have to order some from McMaster-Carr. Not a big deal, but I was hoping form some nicer shaped anodized versions, not the industrial hex standoffs like I would get from McMaster.
On another note, I am going to be buying my first LiPo batteries. I'll be running a silver can for a bit, but eventually switching to 21.5 BL. Any suggestions on what I should be looking for as far as MAH and C rating? More important, shorty 2S or full size 2S pack?

I run a 4000 MaH (cheapo brand LiPo) that I got when I bought the car, don't remember the C rating.
I also run a 5500 MaH 60C Reedy Hard Case LiPo.
Both are full sized 2S LiPo packs & run with a silver can motor. Never tried a shorty pack with my f109.
Be sure your charger is capable of charger LiPo batteries, if not you need a balancer.
