Default custom backlight lcd

anybody know how to backlight a non backlit radio??

anything's possible. You'd probably have to use LCDs and find a proper wire for them to feed off of.

Sometimes you can replace the entire lcd with a backlit version and all you have to do is add extra power for the light. It depends on the screen size and configuration. Ive heard of some putting leds behind it or around the unlit screen but have never heard how this works.

thats my dillema, there are dozens of manufactures out there with lcds, KO PROPO wont tell me what are compatible, all i need to know is basically which 8x2 lcd will fit and will wire up.

I race at night also, sometimes the mains run to 12:00 midnight. (we start at 9:00). I just carry a flash light. . . .
