JC, from what i understand, there will be no brushless as of yet, HOWEVER, they will continue to run the MJGTC motors for the early 2010 season. As fas as club racing, i suppose a 21.5 wouldn't hurt anything..it is, after all, a club race.

Default Diff Screws

Hiya,

I have recently brought 1 of these cars and it drives very nicly.

1 problem tho is these dam diff screws.

I have broken 6 now :-(

front and back have broke with both the standard and upgraded screws.

I have tryed runnign the diffs tight and loose but they are still breaking.

I have had a search here and on other forums but i cannot find any solution to the problem apart from using a spool upfront.

i find this to be an expensive way to stop breaking diff screws.

can anyone shed some light on what is happening and how i can fix it.

Thanks

This thread seems dead... I'm not the person to ask about this but I might be able to help you out... I have this car and love it... I have never broken that screw but everyone tells me that I will one day From day one, I installed a one way up front and I leave the rear diff slightly looser then I would on my sedan... I switched to a 64 pitch and I have a 98 spur I believe, it's the largest one that will fit... also running a pretty large pinion... I might be wrong but I'm thinking this might remove some torque and maybe save the screw ??? anyways... Not sure if this info will help, but since there is no one else in this room it's a starting place...

Yeah, i have not broken a screw either. Im running diffs both front and rear. I drive it pretty smoothly, rolling the throttle and it does just fine. I suspect that the diff screw is just too tight as well like Charles said.

Am I reading the ABC website correctly, the Genetic has gone up in price approx $100? Is there something new being included with the kit?

No, ABC is supporting the Local Hobby shops by not undercutting them. Hobbyshops can now benefit from not competing with ABC hobby directly.
