Talking Rc Magazines

I was interested in knowing if there are any good RC magazines outside of the U.S.A. that would be worth checking out and subscribing too. They must be in english.

RC Racer from the UK is pretty cool. They have a website at: http://www.rcracer.com/

Actually, neither of the UK Mags (Radio control car racer, and Radio race car international) are up to much.

Racer is very professional looking, but is hugely out of date (the issue that went on sale at the beginning of this month had it's editorial written before christmas - and many of the reviews had appeared in RRCi months earlier, and they very rarely give the cars a test run, just build and photograph them.

RRCi, on the other hand, is amateurish-looking, with bad page design and a lot of typo's. On the other hand, it's normally a month more up to date than racer, and they usually give the cars a test run (although some of the reviews, which would be better if done by a real racer, are done by people from the advertising department).

RC Car Action, which some people order over here, is a much better read.

I once got a copy of Japan's RC World magazine from a guy that was supposed to bring an English version to the US.

This was by far the best magazine I've ever seen.
It was also a special about Masami and there was about 200 pages stuffed with info from him on how to built and setup cars and tons of other things.

Only bad part, I COULDN"T READ IT, just look at the pics :-))

That is what an RC magazine SHOULD be! Not full of ads and with barely any content like Car Action... I used to subscribe to Car Action, but has barely any good info, so I stopped.

I used to always get RC World mag when I lived in Japan. It's an awesome magazine. They even have prototype cars that people build and stuff. Good magazine if you can get. Thats why I have RC World stickers on all my cars! Plus I still have 2 old ones. They also have a website as well that just opened up. But not much on there.

Racer also sponsers David Spashett, Craig Drescher (I think), Andy Moore and many other racers.

"Racing Lines" is what we get in Australia. Nice mag, good reviews and the ads don't have prices so they won't scare you "lucky" people in Asia, US and UK

An overseas subscription is AUD$86

I just ordered a subscription on R/C Car and after I submitted the order they said that it will take 14-16 weeks to get the first issue. That's really bad!

Otherwise I think both R/C Car and Xtreme are really good mags.
