I'm not dismissing VTA by any means I just dont think it has a place at the snowbirds.
Thanks Larry, just wondering where you were coming from. Its a pretty big class at the grass roots level. It is a good spectator event and thought it might go over better at a larger event.

Ditto on these 7.

No need for VTA or RCGT in my eyes, and Foam Touring is dead, dead, dead. Look at www.IIC09.com for confirmed Foam Touring race registrations compared to Rubber if you need ANY evidence to this fact.

Was VTA that popular last winter? It seems like its gained in popularity since then. Perhaps it would do better next time. Not sure. I suspect VTA is populated primarily with racers that don't do a lot of national travelling.
VTA is huge in the midwest.

generally speaking, people need a 'slow' and a 'fast' class for each so as to provide a stepping stone to go from zero to hero.

it's the two different tire options for the same damn chassis/motor that's been killing the depth in sedan classes over the last few years.

i understand that but were talking big races here (i think). i mean the slower classes could be run at club races and the faster ones at the big races.

i totally agree about the tire choices. i mean from what i see at the one track i've been to, everyone pretty much runs foam but if i go somewhere else will i see more rubber?

Man If I knew that rubber was going to kill foam I wouldn't of been pushing it for the last 4 years.

I love foam.....
