1/12th with lipo.
I'm wanting to drive my 1/12th with lipo next winter but here it come's.
Is it possible to drive 8th minutes with a 10.5 or 6.5 brushless engine with a single cell lipo?
Is there any need to have a receiver pack or something what ar the best cells now....
greetings

In addition, the speed control also needs that extra hit in order to run strong the whole run through. If you do not use a booster or receiver pack, the car will run good for about the first 1.5 minutes and then drastically slow down.
This holds true even with a 13.5 motor.

From what I have been told (I haven't done it myself), BUT a very reliable source said he raced 1/12th and 1/10th WGT last weekend and after racing 8mins in 12th scale and 6 min's in WGT. He had 3200 mah still left in the battery after the runs. So I would stick my head out and say yeah it can be done. Of course this was with a TQ booster installed.

8 minutes is no problem. You will definitely need a booster or receiver pack.
As for the best packs, probably SMC. There are a few others just now coming out but I don't know if anyone but team drivers have done a real back to back test.

And will the 1 cell lipo with a 4.5 motor have the same speed and laptimes ass a 4 cell 6.5 configuration?
Or what motor will have this kind of lap times.
Does anyone have a picture of a TQ booster or an Asso 12R5 with receiver pack installed because I think there isn't much room for.

The easiest placement for the Novak Booster is directly on top of the servo. The weight is only about 7-grams (1-lead square) and is almost in the center of the chassis, thus unlikely to cause any handling issues.

Here is a pic of the TQ booster in my 1/12 car, its the small white thing right next to the receiver. As mentioned runtime shoud'nt be any issue, but your lap times will most likely drop off some. It only stands to reason that your running the car on less voltage(3.7 vs 4.8) your going to be a touch slower. How much slower will be a function of your rollout and track size/layout.

Don't forget Novak is coming out with thier 1S havoc ESC.

& if don't want to use receiver battery ,
can choice Novak Smart boost 3.3-4.2V up to 6V 3A .
