Ko Radios?
I was looking to buy a Mars EX 1, R or Helios, but I am trying to figure out which one will work with the Novak XXL receivers on 75mhz band. Can anyone tell me which one does or what receivers each one works with? Any information would be helpful. THANKS!

Novak receivers that are specified KO will work although the Hrs (High response speed) will not work with novak receivers.
I just got a helios and love it

The Novak XXL receiver for KO will work with the HRS of the Helios. You do not need to flip the switch to turn it off when using the XXL. It works fine.....a KO driver checked with KO and they said it will work with out any problem.

The XXL recievers will not work with the Mars R. But they work fine with the older Mars EX-1.

The KO crystals are a direct fit. KO Rx uses the same internal freq as Novak, Sanwa/Airtronics, Multiples, Nosram, LRP, Mtroniks, and that is 455 Khz.

Since this is a KO thread and someone may have the same issue I had today, here goes:
I configured my EX10 to work in ARS mode. Digital servo, 302F rx and the little switch behind the Tx module set to HRS.
The ESC is a Nosram Dominator Evolution
On the first 2 runs of the day the motor felt "soft". Not soft and fast, but clearly lazy. I attributed this to the motor and changed it to the motor I knew had lots of punch.
Again very lazy acceleration no matter what ratio I used. Even with short ratios the thing would accelerate slowly.
I checked the calibration of the ESC, program, battery charge, state of the motor and anything you may think of.
Then all of a sudden I remembered that the last time I practiced the radio was in normal PPM mode.
I switched HRS off and VOILA!!!
The car was now flying around the track with the fastest guys.
Not sure what this is coz the manual states clearly that ARS and HRS has no influence on the ESC.
However this small difference means more than one second per lap....
Go figure. Probably someone has a good explanation for this.
