I know its not recommended, but has anyone got away with running a 3.5t on an extreme stock?
whats the lowest you have managed to run on the extreme stock - of course without recommending it to anyone

Ahhhhhhhh that's a shame, not enough of a lure to tempt me back to XeRun motors though
Real shame as well as i've been running EzRun motors on my off-road cars for over a year now and they've been 100% faultless.
To make matters worse when the XeRun motors failed they tend to take out the Esc's as well, plus the after sales service is non existent.
Several emails to the seller and Hobbywing and not 1 answer

What is there to set up? Do you want to use timing?
I have not tried it though could imagine you would want to use a HIGH start RPM and use lowest settings to start with (Using 528 mod) and a few teeth smaller on the pinion then when you ran it with no timing. Also, i would ditch the timing on the can!
I would think if you were experienced you would not be asking this question, and as such have to say be VERY careful. There is no need to time a 4.5... I'm pretty sure I have heard people say they puffed lipo's trying to do silly stuff like this
