Todd,

I have been taking some hotlaps with a guys G+ at the Gate and its not rotating enough on exit. if you stay on the power, but dive hard enough into the corner it stays on line, but if you go in-lift and turn its push and if you get on power its push.

I am wondering if putting in some pro-squat would help? Also-what are other things to try right off th bat to really make his car square up and have on-power steering. I told him to try a slightly raised front roll center and keep the rear the same.

Sorry-I dont have his set-up, but you helped him at Nats and he really appreciated it.

Thanks,
Ray

I have noticed if you shorten the rear link move the ball out on the shock tower helps the car square around better.

Barry's chances on winning the Worlds are very good as always....I think it will be a tough year with all the new cars out such as the Tamiya and HPI. I know he will have a hard time with me there

ray-Run 1/A rear link...this will help the car rotate. You can run prosquat....it will give the car more onpower steering. I also like to run the 41t pulley in the front. This helps the car steer everywhere. I then adjust the overdrive by just making my front tires a bit smaller than my rears.

While running my car I noticed that it pushes a little on throttle during exit, but I can bring the rear end around (loose, I assume) if I back off the throttle and then accelerate when I enter a turn. I figure this is effecting my corner speed. I'm running box stock setup. Just wondering where I should begin: ride height, shock repositioning, droop etc.

Does anyone have any thoughts on a setup for CS-27 Hand-out tires in really hot weather (140F track temp)? The conditions at Fernando's this weekend are going to be similar to those at the World's Warm-up, and I am looking for any and all advice on how to get the car around the track.

wcoyote-have you tried a oneway yet?

Richo-Check out Hodapp's Nats setup from last year on the TL website. It should work very well.

Hey Todd. Sorry you couldn't make it to April Fools Classic. The Hardy boys were devestated. LOL Travis A., Scott B., and Lloyd D. put on a good show.
I'm gonna be running at the Reedy race this year in 19 turn and was wondering what changes I would do to my car during the day as the heat changes. Is the Reedy starting set-up on Losi's site a good start? Thanks for any help you could give me. Bye!

t.hodge.

just wondering what you would recommend for a starting gear ratio/roll-out when running a 9x2 D6 on a 185x100ft asphault tc track.

the track is medium traction and not very technical.

Nope Todd, I haven't got the one way yet. Saving up to go to a family reunion on the 4th of July in CO right now. Might bring my car just to see if there are any tracks to run on nearby.
I've screwed in both the front and rear shock shafts all the way. I had them with three threads showing (front) and four threads showing (rear). Shortening the shocks gave me massive oversteer. So now I have to redo that a little.
I'm trying to see how my ride height works out. I think I'm running lower in the rear vs the front. Not sure if I have the 5mm ride height I was looking for by doing the shock/spring adjustments. Mind you, this is only running three times w/o the body(which is almost done getting painted), and running 7 cells. I'm thinking body on will be a lot better. So I'm not looking into adjusting too much yet. Just basics. I really need to get myself a setup board or make myself one, also needing to assemble my 6 cell 3300 race pack.

animal-Drop me a email at [email protected] and I will forward you my latest setup for my spool car. I would probably just go a heavier front bar when the heat comes up.

nexus-128/27-28.

wcoyote-Check out MHOR Raceway in Denver, CO. They have a excellent onroad track there.
