The Speed Passion Thread

But to answer your question directly;

Yes the GT 2.0 will handle a 3S LiPo, and the reverse without delay is an option on the programming box.

Make sure you get the higher voltage fan in case the esc gets hot. The Speed Passion (HW) ESC sends full battery voltage to the fan.

Yes there is a built in BEC, but what application are you using this ESC for?

I was wanting to use it in the Losi comp crawler on 3S. I have the Xcelorin but it has a reverse delay that can't be shut off. The only other sensored speedo i see that runs 3S brushless are the Tekins but my computer runs on Vista 64 and i can't get the hotwire to work to make adjustments.

Well I would say you have 2 great options;

1. Throw your vista based computer at a brick wall, then reinstall XP

2. Give me about a week to come up with something and shoot some emails off on this.

I have very close contact with the software developers and I might be able to come up with something for you.

Feel free to email me at adam@schumacherusa.net

My office brings all the Speed Passion products into the US so I know a thing or two about them

Would it be ok to run the speedo in the Losi crawler though with a Speed Passion 17.5 on 3S ?

I am about to use the v1.1 LPF with a 17.5 in my TT-01 for RCGT. Took it out on my street the other day and it was fast. Pic down below. I have it matched with a Trinity Pulse 17.5. I don't think you will be able to tell the difference in stock 17.5 between the LPF and the GT.

The LPF and its software is meant for stock class racing so you wont be at a disadvantage compared with a GT.

Both ESC's will be identical for 17.5, the only place you'll see a difference is mod

LPF is design it that way...and it is low profile if you are using it for 12th scale. So if you are running anything 13.5 and slower (ie, 17.5 and 21.5) LPF is your answer.

Not to mention this abailey21 guy really like to talk/help his customer, most of the time, we have to STOP him from talking/helping too much, LOL.
