Hi,

I accidently connected my transmitter battery pack backwards and after doing so i heard a little pop (i know stupid me), I found that it had blown 1 of the 2 little sqaure orange components in the module (the first 1 by the pins), can anyone tell me what this component is so that i can replace it? (i have been told its a tantlum capacitor). I have desoldered the component, and the module still works as well as the radio, i also tried another module and it works as well, so hopefully the radio is still fine, its an helios ex 10, do you think its still fine?

Thanks Ya`All

Why not just send it in to KO for repair. You know that it will get proper attention and fixed with the correct components. Their costs for repair are also reasonable and decently quick. I know, I had to send mine for work, too.

When setting up an ESC with the Helios, do you set the Throttle HiPoint to 100, or to the maximum 150.
And what's the difference? As far as I can figure, using 150 will give it more punch.
Thanks

The adapter is called a Tamiya wheel adapter and comes in different colors. They can be found herehttp://www.shopatron.com/index/pg=5/166.0.1053.56.0.0.0

It depends on the ESC. Some ask for the maximum setting, some ask for factory default setting.

KO Propo staff,

It's a GTB, asks for max setting. So I use 150?
I've been using 100. I know top speed will be the same, but what's the difference otherwise.
Thanks

I have a Helios with the 2.4 module.
Last night at the track the car wouldn't work while another guy had his Futaba 4PK on, as soon as he turned off my car came on.
Whats the problem ?

Yes, you should send your module in for service. There will be no charge for the service from KO PROPO America if you live in North America.

So is this something that we all should do? Is there a problem with the modules?
