Newbie to one cell LiPo.
Where can I get a booster?
Looking to put a one cell LiPo/BL in my F1 car.
Thanks.

Hey Slakr, bring your F1 car to RW. I wanna check it out. Why not run a LiFe rx pack and not deal with a booster? LiFe packs are 6.6v. So no need for a booster or reducer. Plus you give your servo the 6v for good performance.

Hey Jimmy... the F1 hasn't arrived at the house yet, but as soon as I get it and have it together I'll bring it to RW.
See you tomorrow?

Yeah, I'll be out there. If you need a 1s booster, try this from Novak. If that is what you are talking about. Me, I would go with a LiFe pack. But this should do you fine.

Thanks Jimmy... I'll talk to you some about it tomorrow. I haven't gotten any single cell LiPo's or electronics for it yet, so I'm still open as to what direction I can go in.

Anyone know when another batch of batteries will be available? I'm waiting for Nexxus to get them in stock.

Got to do some testing with Brandon Shells this week with the new 1S lipo. In 17.5/NiMh configurations both of our cars are virtually equal in laptimes and both of us have reset each other's track records through out the spring and summer at the local tracks.

With my car configured with the 1c lipo it's right at .15 sec per lap slower across the 8 min run. I'm going to work on a few setup changes and see if I can't craw that disadvantage back. Currently at a ~92mm rollout with 17.5.

Just got three of these packs in the mail. Can't wait to try them out in 13.5 1/12 and WGT.

So for those of you wanting to reach 730grams in 1/12 or 930grams in WGT, you will have to find another 21grams somewhere.

The ThunderPower 5000mAh 1s LiPo's are an additional 21grams heavier compared to the SMC 4000mAh 1s LiPo, that extra power is packed in tight.

The ThunderPower packs are also about 1mm shorter, and .5mm narrower on width and length than the SMC pack for those have tight fitment issues.
