Default HPI Pro 2

Hi guys! Since most of the present TCs out there have their own thread (XXX-S, MR4TC, Pro 3, etc, etc), I thought I should make one for the Pro 2. Post what u think about the car and what u like (or don't like) about it. I personally like mine a LOT!

Oh, and if anyone want's to post pics, go ahead! Share set-ups too! I'm kinda looking for a good set-up for asphalt right now so if anyone runs on asphalt and has what he thinks is a good set-up, don't be afraid to post it!

I remember HPI was selling Japan edition's Pro2 last year. That car looked sooo awsome. I wished I had gotten that car.

erap: remember me... we met at the max speed raceway... here's a really good and proven setup to start with at our local tracks... Sorex36R with speedmind medium inserts. 40wt shock oil with #4 piston and blue tc3 associated springs... use the 10 degree front uprights and center one-way

In the stock class I normally go with the 122 Spur and the range from 35 to 40 on the pinions. The 116 Spur works good as well.

i got an aftermarket spur 112 teeth, i'm planning to use a 38 or 39 tooth pinion, for both stock and spec racing (chameleon). is this okay?

Erap,
You should be fine, just check the motor after your runs. Having a 37 tooth may not hurt.

I currently have two Pro 2's. I feel it is a much better car than the Pro 3.

I am currently working on stiffening up the chassis by adding two post's directly behind the battery trays and cutting out two pieces of Graphite to mount them to the Top Plate at the rear of the car.

I will let you know if it works.

I love the pro2, it made me a better driver. I also feel the TC3 is currently the best car on the market and will be trying it as soon as I build the FT Kit I just got.

But I give credit to the Pro2 really helping me to improve my skills. As well as tons of advice from my best friend who's an excellent driver.
