hey i have a nikko mitsubishi 2 fast to furious car its my first rc car and so far i really like it but i want to know if it is a drift car. It is 200 scale mile per hour and it has street tires and i have tried drifting with it on some hardwood floor and i dont know if the car is a drift car or i just cant drift. i am new to rc cars so i dont know anything about it so any posts will help.

first off welcome and you should find the boards around here help full.

now to your question. i need to know a few thing. the drift tires is there tread or no tread? reason is the drift tires with tread are for hit speed drifting, the ones with out and "training and low speed drifting tires"

now i have a 4wd on road touring car that is bone stock and i can drift it. but i did go on to youtube and typed in how to drift rc cars. it help me out a lot i can now drift my evader ext (off road) with no prob and it halls but i can run down cars on my street and the speed limit is 30. i can hit top end and and slide it about 20ft before i hit grass or it spin out. im not the best at it but i hope this helps.

drift tire should be hard compount with not tread on it, if it a rubber type than iit a high speed drift tire and it's not recomended.

any 4wd rc car can drift.

If it is 10th scale then 200 scale MPH would be 20 mph. If the tires are plastic or hard rubber they are for drifting, if they are soft rubber they are for grip or racing...

ok it is 1/14 scale and it says 200 scalemph but i think its faster then that and its a no thread rubber tire.

you should be able to slide easy. try going 1/2 or 1/3 speed turn the car and nail it full speed. or do donuts at full speed and the back off until you to bigger donuts. start s 0ft for the donuts and then 2ft and then 4ft then 6ft once you and do a donut that is 6ft try pulling the car out of the donut with out stopping the car. that is the easiest way to learn how to drift.

try pulling gripped tires on the front and the slicks on the back.

o hole the car up off the ground and see if it 2wd or 4 wd that makes a bit diff to

i think it is faster then what it say cause it is 1/14 and it is really fast. i can slide easily but not get a drift i can kinda get a little angle on it but i cant get anything substantle unless i drift sideways for a second then spin out and what tires should i get and about how much would it cost?

before i say o go get this or that, what are you planning on doing with it just drifting or what, and are you planning on making it faster?

well i got the car really cheap on ebay and i just play with it at my house and all i want to do with it is drift

i use the one you have for now. get a fill for the car, watch this video it should help you drift better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aWsmdDQGgo show help. as for tires i would go to your local hobby shop and see what they say. or go back on ebay and type in rc drift tries there are lots of like 6 sets of tires for like 20-40 bucks that should last you exp if your on hard wood floors.

just make shear to ask if there are hard compound or not

Your Nikko is a toy-grade car. It is very unlikley that you would get any of the parts designed for 1/10th hobby-grade drift cars to fit on it.

Just enjoy the Nikko around your house and if you want to get a more serious drift setup, upgrade to a real 1/10th car.
