I know of a nitro track in Italy that is on the beach, I forget the name but that would NEVER happen here.

there's a track i went in spain/galicia. and i can tell you that place for sure is a fortune and think its free for the club.

with some major RC companies in socal.. hopefully the track will be well supported by the companies and racers alike.

I got the point, but I belive that better comparison is horsepower/kg.
1HP/1.5KG is just too much.
I'll take McLaren F1 in comparison - has 550HP at 1,140KG (tech taken from wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_F1).

so it's 0,666HP/KG in rc car compared to 0,482HP/KG which has McLaren
Now consider what electronic Mclaren does have to handle this power and keep it on road and what you've got in RC Car.

Yeah, mod speeds seem more reasonable on that track. Also, though, I'll point out that you guys are hitting painted lines at full speed, not boards. Every single car in that race would have exploded on the first lap if you were running on a track with actual barriers... Which actually kind of reiterates the very first post in this thread.

Maybe just admitting that open mod isn't right for small tracks, and having everybody race 13.5 is the way to go.

my point is you have to run what tracks allows you to run so if you have a small track just forget mod,
but donīt say to limit mod because you have to think about places where the tracks are that big.

and i can tell you running stocks on same tracks itīs nice also but if you want speed, stock sucks because youīll take an eternity to finish.

but again on small track donīt use mod.

you're not alone. i like that it's so unique (especially on foams).

i have to be honest, though, that vid (and many of the ones posted on redrc) make me jealous. i asked a good 'friend' if he felt the same way (both of us being foam tire racers). he said, 'no, i race on tracks like that all summer with my 1/8th scale car'.

so, why then are we not racing rubber on these same tracks?

i see nothing wrong with being unique to what is economically feasible, but if that's the case, then we can't draw too much from other communities can we? and when we ask, how can we be more competitive at the worlds, we might want to start by running on similar tracks...

so really, why do we have only one outdoor race each year (reedy) that's worth a darn? why is the nats not held at one of these crazy nitro tracks?

i think youīre getting there
thatīs the point try to run on bigger tracks (mod)

syndr0me
donīt worry about th white lines if we have barriers of course they should drive other way, but we see F1 running over the line donīt we? so i donīt see a problem if you have a barrier you try to be fast and not hit the barrier, if not you know whatīs going to happen but thatīs race.

agreed. your first few posts were not well written and i don't think anyone could identify the point you were trying to convey. (at a minimum, i couldn't).

that said, if we can't stretch things out, you can now see that we need to take other actions or mod here will be extinct.

i'm guessing this would never pass in portugal??

That's basically a death trap if you don't nail that section.
