You were probably using a regular Yeah Racing Tornado fan only rated up to 8.4volts.

I really like the WTF fans, -they've been the best i've tried. But I haven't tried Nosram's.

I can say that in my experience the worst fans were the 3Racing, and Yeah Racing ones ...

my yeah racing fan works great!! i have just the 25mm and it cools as good as the big WTF fan. smaller and cheaper

I like the wtf fans, but my favorite is the R1. They both blow about the same. Go with either one of those and you will be fine.

Until the bigger wtf fan came onto the market, the superior f5 fan was the best, r1 and few other guys found out the supplier and had their logo put on it. I couldnt open the links, to the sites anymore, but some guy did a bunch of research on it. And found that the f5 fan is much better, than the others on the market. Since the bigger wtf fan came out, it is now better than the f5 fan type. It has aprox 6000 more rpms, the only downside is youll have to use a mount as opposed to 2way taping it down.
