Default removing bearing sheilds

having trouble removing the side sheilds of the bearing. I'm using 2 pins and trying to pry out the circlip with no success.

Does anyone have any tips?

everytime I use a knife or pin to push the clip out, it just keeps circling. Which is the reason I use something like a pin to hold one end, and use a knife or another pin to try and pry open the circlip.

they are a pita

I have no issues with a exacto knife, I just kind of pierce the side and flip the shield off at the same time and it works for me every time
