LOL...we had to rework some of our design, very minor changes, but it has caused some delays. The straight pack will be available in 2 weeks. The lipo saddle pack is late September, but it will be well worth it for those running a t-bar car. With both packs, I wanted to release something that will not be obsolete within months.

As far as connectors, they will be 4mm. The packs will have a flat bottom and I do plan on including battery guides or battery rails.

Any other questions, please feel free to ask.

Do you have any measurements for the lipo saddle packs?

Will your packs be sent to ROAR for approval by Sept 1st?

Getting ready to buy my first LiPo packs for racing at IIC...So I need to figure out what to get. I'd like to get one that uses bullet connectors instead of Deans so I was wondering if the new SMC pack with bullet connectors is the same dimensions as their other 1 cell LiPo packs. Anyone know?

The Reedy 1S pack uses bullets.

Yeah I considered the Reedy pack but at 4600mah compared to the newer packs all being 4900 or 5000mah I thought I would go for the higher mah that still had bullets.

4600 is plenty for 1S 13.5 in 12th. I was only taking out about 2600-2800 in an 8 min race.

Reedy chose to use the 3.5mm plug because it allowed us to make a lower profile battery. I know first hand how hard it is to get the wiring under todays hot 12th bodies. Also most 12th scales are pretty low current draw so we aren't giving up any performance with the smaller pin.

You'll never know the difference between 4600 or 4900 mah. Especially if you are only running spec classes.

True 300mah won't be noticable, but it's also $10 more expensive and not in stock at Stormer. I do like the stepped case though. I'll have to check if it will fit in my chassis. Do you know if it will be legal at IIC?

4mm is really the standard. In addition, the surface area is greater and there was no real reason for us to use a 3.5mm connector for our packs.

Excluding the bullet connector extrusions, the size is comparable with a nimh saddle pack. We had to really work hard to keep the dimensions similar to that of an nimh pack whilst maintaining a 4600mah capacity and a 40c rating.

We will send our straight pack prior to the the 1st. I need to talk with Ruben from ROAR regarding our saddle pack since there are no real rules at the moment.
