Default NEW Keyence Tachyon Brushless ESC

There does not seem to be any discussion about this new ESC from Keyence,

This is their first Brushless ESC thay have released,

and it is pretty small,

Size: W31mm D30mm H19mm
Weight: 35g
FET Qty: 36pcs
On Resistance: 0.24mΩ
Applicable Motor: unlimited

here is a link to the Product PDF (in Japanese)
http://hobby.keyence.co.jp/download/pdf/p1_09.pdf

link to the instruction Manual (in Japanese as well)
http://hobby.keyence.co.jp/download/pdf/p2_29.pdf

Anyone who has used their Brushed ESC's will know they make quality kit.

Keyence sent one to me a few months ago, I have been testing it in 17.5 and so far I am pretty impressed,

anyone else use one of these?

They did have the best brushed speedo hands down. Not too many people knew about them cause the only thing that was promoted in magazines back then were Novak and LRP. Schumacher USA use to distribute them here in the states. If it's anything like the brushed it will be good.

How could we use it since Keyence sent it to you? Have you seen it for sale anywhere? Why ask then?

In my experience trying to buy Keyence products is an exercise in futility, so if you don't know an Australian importer (I am in Perth) and some dealer that can handle service and so on, this thread is going to be the same thing. It has little relevance if they make the best whatever in the world if the world can not buy it to find out. Good reviews and a lot of talk about it will only get you so far.

Rod M, is the Aussie Disty of Keyence and TOP.
Keyence has been easily available on the east coast for about 2 years.

I ran Keyence exclusively before Brushless stepped on the scene. LOVED their products and Schumacher had service on them locked. I was wondering if they would step up.......
Looks like they have........It doesn't say HELLO anymore though, LOL

Thank you, I will try it. I tried no longer ago than this weekend to google Keyence and there's nothing popping up in Australia, it's annoying. How can it be so invisible? Unfortunately for him, if I knew earlier, he would have gotten the 600$ I paid for a brushless system overseas.

wow...someone is pissed

You've got to give OP a credit for actually posting an article about it though. Regardless whether or not it is available outside Japan, that is another story. He just does not deserve the crap you drop on him just because you think he was "invisible". If there is a guy who refuted your claim, that just means you had not look hard enough...

I know that there is no one in Australia who is running this ESC.
(My first commercial shipment has just arrived a few days ago)

The point of the thread was to see if anyone else (in the world) has been running this ESC (it has been available for a couple months and I don't know what every other country's importer is doing) and for further discussion about the Performance and Setup.

if you went to the Keyence Website you can lookup the Shops that import/sell the ESC's in each country.

Rod as Bersercoe has pointed out it's not on the KEYENCE website...

Will you please give us the specs on this ESC, also does it have any of the timing features of some of the current ESC's with stock optimized profiles.

Thank you for that. I have googled Keyence first time I learnt they existed some time ago and you can imagine my dismay when the first page of hits didn't have anything to do with RC. Further down the list you get mentions on forums and so on rather than places that sell their stuff. I kept digging and the closest I got was on line shops that HAD keyence in the past and had left mirros of their pages on web servers. I have managed to find the Keyence site in the end, but to my shame I couldn't find the retailers' page (if you check it is under "shops" and that to me suggested they are shops in Japan so I ddin't bother to check). My mistake.

I am just saying this to give you (and others) a picture of how difficult it is to find something when you're actively looking for it, let alone when you have no idea it exists. No intention to offend, but I am really upset by the state of the hobby (retailers) in Oz.

I am still looking at buying some brushless stuff so if you can offer these at a good price I am pretty sure there will be customers.

A good place to find some info on the new speedo I think would be a good start. The Keyence page link to the english translation takes you to their homepage.

Yes, I found those, but my japanese is still at below zero level and google translators can only get you so far.

It will be nice to have some specs and detailed info when you can find the time to post.
