Shops in NY?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Im going on a school trip to NY City, we're right in downtown Manhattan. Any hobbyshops down there? I could sure go for not paying 15% tax up here.

Nothing in downtown that I know of... I think there may be a few little shops but the majority of lower Manhattan is business district... Around 30th and 8th is America's hobby center, I'm not sure of the exact address, I just find my way to places... I'm not sure that the prices in Manhattan are going to be much less than your 15% sales tax, it's 8 3/4$ here anyway... Plus things are a little more expensive in NYC... My rent on a 1 bedroom apt, 3 flight walkup, on the upper east side was $2100 a month plus utilities...
