Trying to help a newbie who will be racing with us on Monday.

Can anyone help with a recommended starting point for gearing a 17.5 (I have never used one) at this venue;



The 10.5 motors run around 5.0 and the 13.5's are around 4.3 if that helps.
He is using a Nosram/LRP motor with Orion Vortex ESC.

3.5 should be a good starting point, as that's in the region of what I'm on down at Bashley. Might end up a bit higher given the size of WLRC, but should be good enough as a ball park. Just watch the temps as usual.

At our track we run very similar gearing with the 13.5 and the 10.5, I run 3.4 it is works well
