haha... yea probably...

im amazed at castle link its lipo setting is nice, it auto powers down the machine as your approach 3v per cell i assume...

Im gonna look into tweaking the esc, but i need to do some reading on castle link and its settings...

oh the battery is rated at 35c burst...

i also changed the suspension.... blue springs up front, yellow in the back and 30 weight oil..

running 72t spur and 17t pinion.

I'd keep an eye on that lipo. 2200mah at 35C is only 77 amps burst. The 7700 mamba motor can easily draw quite a bit more. Believe me I know money doesn't always allow for the optimal battery, but don't over stress it and destroy your car.

depends on the "C" rating. For the 7700 mamba setup I would want at least a 5000 mah 20C continuos rated battery. Something that has at least 100amp continuos rating. That is a power hungry motor.

what kind of damage are we talking about if i run my setup on a 2200 mah 2s lipo (7.4v)? Thermal, or internal electrical stuff that really cant be monitored...I also have castlelinks auto-lipo shutoff setting enabled....

With the cutoff enabled are you able to pull the trigger wideopen from a stop and not have it cut out? You are putting excessive demand on that battery. Is the battery puffing up after you run it? I would keep a close eye on it, while running and especially during charging. You shouldn't hurt anything electrically, or even thermal the esc. I'd me more concerned with the battery failing or not lasting very long before performance falls way off.

Actually i think the gps was messing up yesterdays looks like my speed were closer to 33mph with a 72spur 17t pinion setup.

I swithc to a 69T spur and 20t pinion and ran 1 full charge of the battery, about 20mins of full throttle and clocked in at ~38mph...

Its fast, and yea i think with a bigger battery giving the engine the required amperage it will go even faster. no the battery seems to be fine, and not bloating but i will keep an eye on it. im not worried if it dies faster since it was only $40

So something over 5000mah ehh?? dang those get pricey...

Hows my gearing setup, after about 20mins of running everything is hot, but not to bad...

That AE heatsink actually do anything? i was thinking of snapping it on with a layer of thermal paste between it...

not sure what the batman face means...

I got a 3800mah 7.4v 2s lipo and it seems to have a little more top end (not sure if its from the battery or one way heavy duty front diff / adding the body cover).... at least run time is about 2x as long....

I think im going to change the rear diff to the steel diff, and finish the body and put some drift tires on the back and call it a day....
