7.2V servo/ESC hookup

Can a 7.2V servo(KO 2123) be connecting to the Keyence V-Zero Extreme ESC? By the looks of the ESC in the manual I do not see a lead for this, can you go straight to the positive tab on the board? I've never connected a 7.2V servo up to any ESC so any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think the keyence does have a FET lead.. only some esc's have them.

I believe it can be soldered straight to the +ve terminal, but i have never tried it before..

This article might help you out might help you out!

I believe that the FET wire is the yellow wire, it should stick out of the same hole that the RX wires come out of. It should have a have some heat shrink tubing over the end to make sure it doesn't short anything out.

I'm not 100% sure of this though...

The KO servos are made for doing this

KO servos with 7,2 volt wire, can be soldered to the plus-tab on a 7,2 volt drive battery. The KO servos, comes with a little manual / diagram, that shows how to do it. They also come with a shoke coil, that should be mounted between the 7,2 volt wire and the plus-tab. I've seen it done and it works great.

yes, you are right!!
that's what I did and haven't any problem so far. my keyence V ext & KO 2123 work excellent.

Hey mine didn't : ( Anyways, I'm in the process of connecting one up and now I'm down to a resistor, I take it this goes in between the two wires? If so, does it matter which way the resistor is connected?

This is not a resistor, it's the supplied choke coil.

Anyway, it doesnt matter which way it's mounted (nor a resistor for that matter ;) )

You're correct Cole, they are sheilded chokes, I found some on the web. Thanks for the response.

By the way, if you like I can scan my KO 2123 servo manual, and post it....
