Default new to the 1/10th world...

Hi.

I went to my local hobby shop and was offered

(2) Complete Associated TC3's
several sets of tires and rims, 1 new cover, 2 used covers, 4 6 cell nimb batteries, 2 transmitters, 1 extra motor, and a bunch of extra (lube, grease, etc) for $125.

I had to do it....

I finished putting one together with a Integra body and man is this car sweet. The second one will be a project.... so what are some suggestions?

I have the car completly pulled apart, to clean and re lube the diff / gears, and other sugguestions of where to look for wear and tear and possible cleaning i might miss?

Also, what do you sugguest a first performance mods? I am running a 2200mah 35C burst 2cell lipo in the car.

I guess a brushless system is in order...

what if i dont want to spend all that money, is there anyone who makes tunes 540 size brushed motors?

Thanks ....

Also, what do you think about the deal? did i get suckerd? from my looks i got 2 working cars for about $62.50 each....

I'm assuming these are used but even with that being said, it sounds like you got a great deal (2 cars for less than the price of one). Unless the chassis has some major tweeks in them, which I'm hoping you would have noticed before you bought them. Congrats

Even so, the part support for the car is still great. You can still replace parts for a car that's been discontiued for years. This is a vary rare find at a great price. If anythings broken, you can replace it cheap.

Fantastic deal! Welcome to touring car! I suggest one touring car and the other to be Trans Am. Their are some people that tune and tweak 540 motors on here.. just look em up!

Stay with the plastic CVDs. They'll flex on impact and they'er vary cheap to replace. Aluminum CVDs will set you back $21 for a pare. And once they bend, they'er no good.
