Is anyone using the optional Tamiya (#84150) TA05-VDF Ackerman steering set in their TA-05?

That would never fit a TA05. It's almost twice as wide as the TA05 steering bridge...

Hi all, just getting back into RC after 3 years; just picked up TA05 V2-R, does anyone have setup recommendations for Tamiya track in Aliso Viejo? Any help is appreciated, looking forward to running the car soon.

So far, have installed the Speed Passion Citrix esc/brushless combo. Still need body, and tires.

Is the V2R the same as V2, but with more bling bling?

Thanks !!

the vdf is a limited run drift edition that has a completely different config. it won't just bolt on.

a simple google search would have given you this info:

primary ratio:
Primary Ratio = spur / pinion

internal gear ratio:
Internal (belt) = differential pulley/ center pulley
Internal (shaft) = differential gear/ shaft output gear

final drive ratio:
Final Drive Ratio = Primary x Internal

My IFS-R is getting a little tired, and I also want a new body. Rather than buying the parts I need, I'm considering buying a standard ver.2 kit and swapping all/most of my "R" parts over to it.

What won't fit?

I know the TRF shocks and short lightweight suspension arms will, but what about the following?

- 46mm universals
- suspension blocks (non-split)
- belts
- various aluminum and titanium turnbuckles (steering and suspension)
- spool

Thanks in advance!
