i think they're different. there's a specific alum diff outdrive set for the TA05 series (TA05, IFS, Ver2)

Actually, speedykupad just inspired a question in my mind. I was wondering, what parts are interchangeable between the TA-05 IFS, V2, etc. and the 415 and 416??

This is awesome. How about the CVDs? Would the 46mm or 44mm swing shafts work in the TA-05? I am trying to get whatever my LHS has in stock so I don't wait an Aeon for parts to be in stock.

yes you can use the swing shafts. you just need to make sure you have the correct axles. the lightweight suspension ORIGINALLY came with 5x9s. the 416 version of the same suspension uses 5x10 bearings, so the length of the axle changed.

for the TA05V2.. you'll need 46mm swing shafts using the "stock/instruction manual" suspension block set up.

Well if that is the case, could I not just change the size of the bearings to allow the axles to fit? Or is there something more I am missing?

nope.. you would have to change the steering knuckle as well.

read your manual... they probably suggest that the front uses A/A and the rear uses XA/D or XA/E for suspension blocks.

if you use narrower blocks.. you'll need shorter swing shafts.

Well everyone, I got the car built and the 5 degrees it recommends in the steering servo setup is way off. I extended the steering linkage to 16mm and I still could not get to the 5 degree setup the manual said to setup. I later changed the direction of the servo to 15 degrees and it is straight again.

Am I doing something wrong or do some servos require more degrees when setting up the stationary point of the servo saver?

Other than that, the car drove extremely well on its first drive out!! I hadn't even done any setup changed or even changed the springs!!
