i have mine JUST for that reason thought about selling it many times, but every time I always remind myself how good it is and how good it felt driving... so it sits for TCS (and the occassional USGT) events

Same here, even though there isn't an onroad track very close to me anymore(at least for now), there's NO WAY I'm letting my v2 go, I love it too much(they also do great in VTA, btw)....

This chassis doesn't have all the bells and whistles but... There is something about it that I like. Here's my updated V2. I just need the aluminum steering set to complete all my hop-ups.

Is Rcmodel HK reliable? It says in stock but sometimes it might not be. Is the graphite chassis still available? Didn't know parts would dry up so fast.

Parts on this chassis dry up and all of a sudden are available. Maybe because it's still the chassis of choice on the TCS hence the demand for parts? All that's needed is to keep looking online and eventually you'll find it.

As a younger guy with limited funds, it has been the staple chassis in races back home. I had the stock one and was happy with it. I didn't have enough cash to buy upgrades then. Now, I still don't have enough cash but can slowly upgrade my car, $100 at a time.

I think I have every hop-up except the aluminum steering set which is really hard to find.

This build of mine is for display and occasional use only. More of nostalgia and for my own personal satisfaction.

Here's another view of my ongoing project pending parts.

The chassis I plan to send out for milling. The rear bulkhead I am not decided on having it re anodized to tamiya blue or leave it as is for originality.

I have not purchased from rcmodel. If you check your cart, the items marked with *** is out of stock but they will still let you pay for it. It pays to be thorough in reading what those symbols mean. If i remember, I read somewhere that some people do not like their service.

Carbon reinforced chassis can't be found anywhere. I consider myself to be lucky to have a used one.

Nice!

Spool in front and gear diff in the back.

Three questions:

1. What weight gear diff oil did you use?

2. Why did you opt to configure standup shocks in the front instead of ifs?

3. Your car is dialed for carpet or asphalt?

Thanks!

1000 diff oil, The car is set up Tamiya track for now ...IFS works great for shorter track. For bigger track stand up shock position works better ..the car react faster into the S section and it don't get too lazy around the track.

that looks just like mine - minus the aluminum motor brace thing and the rear bulkhead

I got mine used and it was the V2R chassis, so it came with a good bit of hop-ups...i've slowly added the steering parts, the front IFS bulkhead, the rocker arms...gear diffs front and rear (1M up front and 1k in the rear)

its a great car - i would have used it for VTA (as Gizzbob said), but i couldn't find a gearing combo that allowed me to run low enough FDR for vta here..
