Who's going to TCS nationals?

I'm struggling with my GT2 car. I can only manage to run 1-2 minutes before my car starts fishtailing everywhere. I'm running 7000wt in the rear diff.

I might not make it afterall if the car is this bad.

Which timing board do you have in the motor? I run the yellow one with nearly full advance. Works out to about 25' if I remember correctly.

I tried out the speedpassion V3 and found it like a lot more gear then a 4.2 FDR - was going to run 21.5 at a ROAR race, but went back to the novak for the event. so unless you're running an open gearing VTA class, you might wanna go with the novak

or try the option Rick mentions above and change the sensor board

I have been looking for a ta05 v.2 for a while now. If anyone has one that they are willing to separate with, please, shoot me a pm. Looking for box stock rollers.

Default What do I change first?

Need some suggestions on set up? Not sure if I'm doing this correctly. Tried to change a few things the last time I was at the track and didn't seem to make a difference. Using a softer front spring helped a little.

I need more "on power" front grip for my TA05. Car tends to push when going into corners. Any chance a spool might help?

Running USGT class on carpet with HPI "X" pattern tires.

Current set up :

Front
4° Hub
-2° Camber
3 hole piston
40wt oil
Yellow spring
Ball Diff
#3 hole on inner camber link w/1mm spacer
0mm spacer on outside camber link
2mm spacer on rocker arm
#2 push rod position on susp. arm

Rear
-1° Camber
3 hole piston
40wt oil
Blue spring
#5 hole on upper arm position w/.5mm spacer
#2 hole on outer axle w/2mm spacer on outside camber link
#3 hole on shock tower
#1 hole on arm

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Carl,

I will email you my setup tonight. I have to check a few things before I send it your way.

Spool will help it rip on corner exit, push badly on entry. Different driving style required. I prefer heavy gear diff over spool and ball diff.
