Reading through this thread, some have said they have been OK without it. Quite a few though say it is a must have. I had the original V2 and now the R and I put the aluminum one on both, never ran the stock piece.

For bellcrank steering, I have the following on my car:

1. boca ceramic ball bearings
2. tamiya aluminum hopup bellcrank
3. low friction cup and ball joints
4. and shims to reduce play.

Looking at the package, it says:

"Usable with: TA05 ver II, TA05 IFS chassis, TT-01, TT-01 chassis Type E, TB-03 (IFS Spec)"

So unless you mount it kinda high...I'd say not.

Default Want to use Sidewinder 5700 and Lipo is it possible.

I want to upgrade from my HPI Sprint 2 Flux by moving the motor and esc from the Sprint to the Ta05 v2. I also use lipos so this is a consideration too. Is this a good idea? What parts would eventually need upgrading? Any gearing suggestions?

Any replies would be appreciated

Default Tire rotation YES or NO?

Last race at TCS one of the Pros marked my tires with a sharpie (RL, RR, FL FR). But what for I asked, don't you rotate them?

When running foam tires after each race I rotate them to prevent uneven wear. Do you guys recommend or not rotating rubber on the TA05 V2?

Thanks for input...

Marcos

Just looking to get into TC carpet racing. Rubber class I know some guys are using TC3/TC4's etc. In foam class they are running TC5R, TF-5/TF-6, Xray. Just trying to keep my options open for an affordable option is all. I will race rubber class.

I just looked up the price of a TA05-R and it just as high as a TC6, etc. For some reason I was thinking it was a way cheaper priced model. I'll just keep my eyes open in the FS forums for TC kits...

yeah theres a few of them on ebay if you dont mind 2nd hand, i find it really affective and cheap to get a used for example 'TA05' just bone stock because they are dirt cheap to pick up and then get the carbon fibre chassis kit for them, ive seen alot of people been very shocked about that when it passes them hahaha
