Finally got my R8 done. The colors are Tamiya anodized sky blue and gunmetal. You can kind of see it in this pic, but in person this is a chrome like color. Think Christmas ornament. I'm really happy with the way it came out.

Anyone got any pics of their HPI 2002 Camaro SS (7460) or Firebird Trans Am(7447)? I used to be big into fbodys, so I decided I was going to paint up one of each.

I have some of the T/A body, but it's on a pan car chassis. I will have to look for the pics when I get home.

I'm not sure how much RCGT is still run but it started out shortly after USVTA started running 17.5's with realistic GT bodies. I think it was mostly run on the west coast but had some other places pick it up. USGT came along after the USVTA switch to 25.5 and uses 21.5 motors. Rules written by the USVTA powers. There may be some other minor differences but the motors is the biggest difference.

Hey E36M3, here's the same Mazda Furai body but I airbrushed it with much more muted colors. I thought it looked like something out of the movie "Alien" so I made it more biological colors. There's some blue and red on the side like the insides of the creature are showing through. Love MikeR's version too!

Real Furai photo below that.

Man I love that body for this class, but I couldn't stomach watching it get destroyed after a couple races. That thing is expensive.
