Can someone please help with RCGT rollout? I cant seem to find it no matter how I search for it. I know all the tires are 65mm and everyone is using a 17.5 so a final rollout would be helpful.

This isn't a paint question, but here goes. Since tire diameter doesn't change, it's easier to use FDR (final drive ratio) as your gearing target. You need FDR to calculate rollout anyway.

But since you asked, RCGT FDRs would be somewhere between 3.6 and 4.5 (that's pretty broad). At 3.63, rollout would be 56.23; at 4.06 it would be 50.31; at 4.45 it's 45.87.

A nifty iPhone app called "GearIt" can calculate all this for you. Just pick your car model, put in the spur and pinion values, enter the tire size and it calculates FDR and rollout. That's how I got the above numbers.

Just FYI, my Novak SSpro (LRP Sphere, no fan) runs very hot at 4 and under. It's happy around 4.15.

If anything the HPI E10 is a good chassis to use for displaying HPI bodies. The E10 wheelbase is easily adjustable for different width bodies.

That is definitely shelf queen material. Can you reveal your secret technique on how you did those carbon fiber stripes?

Carbon Fiber decals would be my guess. (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...n+fiber+decals).

They are the carbon decals from the HPI Zonda decal set (...smaller carbon blocks...). Hand cut to match the real car, used green masking tape to create a guiding edge for the xacto blade (careful not to score the body underneath etc)
