Here are some pictures of my 200mm Aston Martin body on an HPI sprint 2, with sidemirrors, gunmetal rims and a nice set of brakediscs.

Too bad I've sold the chassis, now everything else has to go... its on ebay now

maybe in the future I'll get another one, I kind of like it

It looks to be a kyosho body.

Searched and couldn't find an unpainted one anywhere. Any suggestions?

Its from Kyosho. I tried to get a second one a while ago but had no luck. The hobby shop said that the manufacturer may have discontinued it. I didn't try to get it from Kyosho though, they do have a web store. Maybe you could buy it directly from them.

I just got mine painted and decal'ed up, today. Should have white paint in that roof portion that's black, but the shop was out of white...crazy. The decals were a challenge to get right, but they ended up looking pretty decent, especially from a little distance away.

This is the Cusco Subaru Impreza that comes with the Tamiya TA05 V.II chassis.

Did you use tape to mask those lines?
Also, where did you get the decals for the windshield

...one hot So Cal Sunday...

I did them for the Falken guys so there will be more to come as I would want a set for myself..a set for the office (my humble cube at hpi)...and the Falken guys would like to give some away for VIPs and as prizes at events...

Making the vinyl masks helped out a lot as it bypassed having to lay down and align each stripe etc...(email me if you'd like the file)

Paint tip #1...use regular Pactra/Tamiya Laquer based paint for the blue as the Laquer based paints dries much better than water based paints to assure crisp/sharp lines when you peel off the masking to shoot the green.

Right now I'm trying to either have Faskolor mix up a custom batch of Falken green (a gallon or so) or make myself a custom giant batch. Basically I have to paint these in batches since the green is a tad different every time I make a batch.

Also a quick tip for those wanting to mix they're own Falken green:
1 - always take the color out into the sun before spraying it as the color will look different indoors etc...
2 - Faskolor always gets a tad darker when it dries.
3 - makes sure it's well and truly dry before you continue to work on the body as the water based paint takes a while (hair drier, hot summer day helps) to dry.
4 - After it dries back it with regular Pactra/Tamiya paint for durability.

Here are the Falken mask files (they are made to fit on the HPI 997, Mustang, S 15, Z, slightly tall sides and wide top on some, so just trim the extra). They are also a tad larger/taller than the 1:1 cars as maintaining the exact proportions of the stripes makes them look really noodly thin at 1/10th scale.

Email me your info if you'd like free mini Falken decal sheet!
