Thanks guys. The wing is from a Yokomo S14 Silvia. I didn't use it on my S14, so I had it laying around. The mirrors, exhaust, and intercooler are from the HPI Tuner kit. The brakes are aluminum and I think I ordered them from www.genkidoridori.com. I made the roll cage you can slightly see in the rear.

Pejota, I'll be bringing it with me this weekend (as I always bring my drift cars with me!) even though we'll be running VTA this weekend. I have to get some pics of it in motion. Did any of you guys at Palm Bay Harley get some wheels with some offset yet? I hate how sunken wheels look on R/C cars!

Oh snap!

Hey Andy... I know this is a special E10 chassis you guys use for photos... that means the chassis is 190mm...

what offset wheel are you using to get the wheel to fit in the wheel wells so nicely? 6mm? 9mm?

Thanks

have you seen the real car?

All JGTC and now SuperGT and DTM cars look like this.... it's just how it is for this kind of racing

It may look like a bit much but it's been like this from old school DTM (German Touring Cars)

Regular E10 chassis have a multiple hex/length screw system that lets you vary it's width more so than standard Touring Cars (TC, Sprint 2 etc).

For a standard 190 TC, we usually end up with 3 in the front and 6 in the back for actual running/competition. You can fit 6 and 9 but it gets a tad too close if youre going to run it hard.

For the shoot I used 6 and 9 (using the appropriate spacer, ie. could have used more spacers with less offset etc)

Thanks,

AH

RE:Running with mirrors, exhaust etc.
The local RCGT series gives bonus points for running with mirrors, exhausts and intercoolers etc. The mirrors stay on pretty good, the exhaust sometimes get lopped off..although it doesnt really get killed, so you just have to put it back on. It totally depends on the other people that are running. If everyone is into it then people usually show a little bit more courtesy and aim for realistic racing also...clean passes...maybe bumping but not plowing into each other etc....

Thanks Andy,

Got a club fun night coming up in a months time and i hope i can run this body!

Steve

Sorry, I'm not hate'n on the IS but it's a 4 door...with GT body kit...just not my bag. I'd rather see another 2 door type sport car that'd been GT'd up...

This is a lexus race car (sc430)

GT is GT depends on the manufacturer and the series rules etc....Weds runs a "Lexus ISF" 4dr in Super GT 300 (Japan), so Lexus can show off both they're 2dr (in GT 500) and they're 4dr (in GT300). At the end of the day motor racing is all about car makers advertising they're wares, so, it entirely depends on what they want to show off.

In the case of RCGT, 2dr and 4dr bodies are allowed (..yes the HPI Subarus are 4dr haha). Basically until we get 200 entries per class per race at every RCGT event, it's all good!

No need to hate or not too hate... We can all like our own thing, it's all good. And if we could make all the bodies we wanted to make, we would....scary haha! (I want my early 80's Starlet ... oh and a blacked out late 80's Mitsubishi Starion Turbo!)

no problem...

i come from the old school where touring cars were based on 4-door sedans... DTM, BTCC, WTCC, etc so I'm used to 4-door touring cars....

I DO have to admit... the Tamiya SC430 is badass... especially with the bronze TE37s on it
