Another question i forgot:

Does the foam tires form the F104 fit the HPI foam tire wheels?

Greetings Rainer

Can the pit shimizu tires (571,572) be mounted to the hpi rims? I see that you can modify the tamiya rubber wheels to fit them. I'm wondering if the same thing could be done to the hpi rims.

No, f103 foams work with the HPI foam wheels. F103 foams are better then F104 foams anyway.

The pits have a larger inside dia. so they may not match up the HPI rubber wheel dia even if you cut off the ribs. You may need to watch the FGX thread to see if they will release a new wheel to fit Pits so that it can work on the HPI.

Okay thank you. So the best tire choice for carpet looks like the soft front and soft or medium rear from hpi? Sorry for all the questions. There are a couple new guys with the f10 at our track and I'm trying to help them get the tires sorted out. They were hoping to run the 571/572 that I run.

We can try this. I think I still have the HPI body you are welcome to it. We can also try to match some of the bodies I have to see which would be the best fit for the car.

Default Balll diff and pinion size

Hi
I just got the ball diff kit for the F10 and was wondering what would be a good starting range for a pinion gear. Running with HPI soft rubber tires, silvercan motor on medium grip carpet. longest straight is about 65' with a nice twisty technical infield section. Any tips will be greatly appreciatted.

Default Need support Mini Z - F1 class Re-starting at Kyosho America Track

Hey guys,

This Saturday we asked Kyosho to open the Mini Z F1 Class for their fall classic race to be held this coming Saturday 3rd and they have agreed. We have four cars confirm, but still need at least two to make the minimum six required.

If you have not experience running your Mini Z F1 at Kyosho this is a great chance to do so, plus you will be supporting the F1/ Mini Z scale efforts to be alive and racing again in southern California.

I support anything F1,we hope to meet you Saturday at Kyosho.

Cheers, Marcos

PS I been part of Mr. Lightfoot’s UF1 gang since the beginning (2009), for reasons outside our control Kyosho had previously schedule this race the same day as November’s 2nd round of the UF1 winter series. I will always promote staying away from the UF1 schedule or any other F1 race so we get more (including and not excluding) options for all F1 enthusiasts.

Sorry in advance for this unwanted situation.

Click for race info.
