Alum motor mount --- I lost two spur gears in one month till I installed this upgrade. Either getting hit, or hitting something caused just enough misalignment to chew up the spur.

The stock plastic mount is just too flexy -- or I am too clumsy a driver!!!

Other than the kit itself I was going to pick up one of Mike's chassis kits, the ball diff, servo mounts, and shock.

What else would you pick up for the initial build that are the "must have" parts?
I recommend getting an extra rear wheel axle I bent the right side at WCRC when the left rear tire hit the wall transfered energy I guess.

Hi,

the absolut must have are some HPI S Tires. With Kit tires the car doesn't work!

Furthermore you can try the new HPI Front and Rear Wing set...
You will have a bit more steering and rear is less nervous. And it looks just great!

Kind regards ,

kabus

Kabus, where on earth are you finding a new wing set? HPI's website doesn't even have it?

Also, anyone want to share any carpet rubber setup baselines they might have with the Exotek chassis

Ok- just checked mine and I'm running 96/35 for foam so you guys might start at 96/38 for rubber and temp the motor from there. Mine only hits 105* but I'm geared more to make run time for 10 minutes. I'm sure you guys can get more aggressive if running 5 minutes.

I just picked up a used F10 however the only ride height adjuster included was the #2. Will these fit?

One note of interest, I am VERY EXCITED to announce that Alpha RC F1 has signed on to sponsor the F1 exhibition class at the Champs this year!!!

Any commercially available F1 Chassis: Alpha, CRC, Tamiya, 3Racing, Cross, Kyosho, HPI, TRG, etc. is eligible. It will be a 210mm max width, foam tire, 2-cell Lipo, Handout silver can class. Looking at the F1 threads here on RCTech, it should be KILLER!!! Can't wait!!
