Ok I was attracted to this chassis because it is different and wanted to get opinions on the shocks laying down vs. standing up. Talked to Chris and he stated that the car reacts like a pan car with the shock laying down. I personally see the car reacting to steering inputs quicker with the shocks down vs. standing up.

Amen!

I am also in love with this chassis. But I know the guys at my track are probably going to laugh their butts off.

I especially like how this car is made 100% in the USA. Once I get the money, I am going to order this bad boy. I love American innovation like this.

As far as the shock setup, this adds a new variable to the tuning table. But if the car acts like a pan car with the shocks down, I think this may create an unfair advantage against the other cars. Would this car risk being ROAR rejection?

Dave, have you run this car on rubber tire/carpet is it a foam only car? Do you have pics of your setup yet? Or anyone else?

Thanks

Who cares is they laugh. As long as you like it that is all that matters. I ran the Team Magic car this weekend and some couldn't believe I had it and many said they don't work. All I can say is I'm glad I didn't listen because at least for me it has been the best car I have ran in years.

If you like this car then go for it when it becomes available.

I LIKE !! Anybody got pics of the car ready to race WITHOUT the top deck ? I'm assuming this would be the likely setup for asphalt. Has the car seen any asphalt testing yet ?? I'm thinking this could be my next VTA/RCGT rig.

Who has this car? I went to the site and it is out of stock? Did it sell out or was it never released?

Kinda interesting that you can pick your shock configuration. You're looking at almost $500 with lay down shock uprights and upper deck and that does not include shocks. I was under the impression that this kit would hit the street at under $400. I like the car, but I wouldn't personally spend that much until it is proven.

Who has it?

The CRF is 299. The FRP is 329.

I don't know what you mean by CRF and FRP, but this is what I see.

This is the base chassis and driveline. Select a minimum of 2 suspension kits and a shock set to complete the car. Any standard touring car shock (around 45-56mm) that mount with m3 screws will fit.
That is what you get for $329 on their site. You still need suspension kits, shocks, and an upper deck.

If it is available somewhere else, hook it up with some links.

This car is unique, just like the Awesomatix. But for me, that's were the comparison stops.

If the car works well for you, and you can get parts if you need them, then great. Who cares what other people think.

All that matters is you get on well with it!

Why roll with what everyone else has, when you can have something else!

There is a button called "Next" that you can click on and scroll down. You will see the other car. But here are the part numbers for the cars and their price:

947 LCG V10 CF $329.99
947b LCG V10 FRP $279.99

I am going to get the FRP car. I used the wrong acronyms in my previous post. Sorry for the confusion. The FRP car with all the options, including top plate, lay down plates and upright plates will come to $500.

I hope this helps!

Here is what I am planning to get:

948 Front Upright Suspension Kit -- 19.99
949 Rear Upright Suspension Kit -- 23.99
950 Front Laydown Suspension Kit -- 44.99
951 Rear Laydown Suspension Kit -- 46.99
952 Top Plate Kit -- 44.99
953 Speed Control Guard -- 14.99
947b LCG V10 FRP -- 279.99

Total:

Total Product Cost -- 475.93
Shipping Cost -- 24.90
Total Cost -- 500.83

As far as the shocks, I will use either Xray's shocks or Tamiya's. I have plenty of Xray shocks so I may just use those.

Damn hidden next button.

I'm sure you will, but please share your results. I like this car, but its hard to spend that much on a new car that has barely been ran.

Yeah, I can understand that. But I am dirt poor right now. So I have to wait on getting this car.
