The spur gear shaft where the main shaft connects both diffs, without the center shaft I have some play in that area. On all of my TC3's and I've had 5 or 6 total they all had this similar play in that area. Never had an issue with anyone of them either.

I haven't had issues with the rear, but I've had similar play with the front diff. I swapped diff housings to an older one that I had as a spare and it eliminated the play. Not sure if there were some "bad" housings made for these cars, but I wonder if you just happened to have two sets of rear cases that are more open.

Its not normal for the shaft to have play when the diff is mounted in the car and that shaft is supported by 2 bearings, 1 in the diff case and 1 on the chassis.
It is normal for it to have play when the diff case is out of the car and the shaft is supported by 1 bearing at that time.

Thanks again for your help Rojna!

center brace is from a TC6, just cut down a little, I cut out the webbing in the center of the chassis, top brace is there to protect the drive shaft.
Battery brace is from ae http://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/31039/

So Rojna its been a month, how are you finding your tc3 vta? been running it?
I found the tc3 still competitive in VTA. The guys who will spend themselves on new T4s etc.etc.. and are good drivers are hard to keepup with.. but whats new?

The TC3 has the same chance of winning as anything out there, all about the driver now if I could only be more consistent and stay away from the walls

Does anyone know of a company that has a carbon chassis still in production? I am trying to set up a second car.
