Anyone interested in buying a TC3? BMI chassis and lots of aluminum parts, including threaded shocks and loads of extra parts. Only thing missing is a lower spring cup (#6475) to complete the roller.

$90..PM me.

I know this is an old post in the thread but i thought i would share my method.
Pull the seals out of the bearings. Clean the bearings with motor clener and let dry. Dip the bearing in "TriFlow" which is a teflon lubricant then let the bearing dry. Reinstall the seals.
The teflon will provide an extremely low drag lubricant that won't attract dirt.

Default Ford F-100 Body fit?

Does anyone know if any of the old 50's Ford F-100 bodies out there will fit the TC3?

hello,

I want to know if it's possible to make a Spec-R gear differential into a TC3?

If it's possible, whats modifications can I do and what differential I must choose in Spec-R products?

Regards,
Adrien.

Reply to the two last posts.

1. No idea on the F100 bodies, I have not seen a post in this thread in years of anyone mounting truck bodies to a tc3

2. I dont even know what a Spec R is... and would you not need 2 as the tc3 uses a diff front and rear?

Spec R makes gear diffs commonly found in belt driven TC's.

Spec-R also makes gear diffs for some of the Tamiya shaft-drive cars, as well..

Can anyone tell me the width between the two steering posts (in mm) please.

By steering posts I mean the part on which the BB and the steering rack slides).

Thanks,
Pizza

Default Help With Gearing

I hate a FT TC3 used roller...current I want to up the top end. Right now my FDR is between 7.50 running 25t pinion /75t spur ...I'm running a 17.5BL Novak SS and need to be in the ballpark of 5.50 FDR

Given the nonadjustable gear meshing on the TC3 what gearing should I use?

Thanks!!

Thumbs up Re...gearing

I installed a 1/12 scale 66t, 64 pitch spur, The holes in the robinson spur gear line up with the holes in assoc drive shaft. 66/30=2.2X2.5 (gear reduction in diff)=5.5FDR. With this set up everything lines up about the same as the 72 or 75 tooth assoc spur. No cutting or dremeling required. I was able to get down to around 4.2 for VTA with no grief. I'm not sure what you mean unadjustable gear mesh???? Mine is the grahite Tub chassis, maybe the FT is different!!!!

Maybe I'm retarded lol...but once I attach the motor mount and pinion it just drops into the graphite chassis. Then the heat sink just locks it in place...

Where do I find 12th scale spurs?
