I run my TC3 in the vintage class here. And I purchased directly from Associated's website. If you don't see it in the AE store give them a call and they can help you out with the updated part you may be looking for.

You can get TC3 parts just about anywhere. Either on-line or at any hobby shop. Lately I've been comparing prices on a few on-line web sites. GS Hobby www.gshobby.com looks like they are blowing out most of the TC3 and TC4 stuff. They dont have everything but they have great prices on what they have plus great shipping prices. I'm actually ordering a few items from them today. I've also noticed the Stormer Hobbies is cheaper then Tower Hobbies even with the discounts email coupons that I receive from them.

Hey

I just picked up a TC3 roller for the low low price of... free.

I searched the 750+ pages of this thread but didnt find an answer to a Motor/ESC combo that is currently available. The info I found was a few years old.

Can anyone suggest a motor and esc for me? Something my LHS or Horizon carries?

thanks!

What are you planning to use the car for? Racing or bashing. My TC3 is setup for VTA. I am running a Novak Havoc with a 21.5 brushless and Lipo. If I were I would go brushless.

I am running 64 pitch gears. Spur is 84 tooth and pinion is 50 tooth. FDR is 4.2. No modding was needed to make it fit.

Well, here's what I ordered... Got too good of a deal to pass it up, even it it's overkill for the car.

Mamba Max 5700kv combo

7.4v Tenergy 5000mAh 20C LiPo

Too much motor?

Suggestions on gearing with this setup?

Hey guys, I have had my TC3 sense they first came out. And I have hardly ever run the thing. It has spent most of its live on a shelf.

However This weekend there is a big parking lot race and it sounds like a bunch of fun. I have been racing 1/8 off road all summer and just want to do something different. The body I have is shot. Do I need a 190 or 200mm lid?

Also, can anyone recommend any parking lot setups??? Ill be running in the 13.5 class. GEARING??? It has a 72 spur on it right now....

Thanks guys,

That's hard to belive. I had to dremel out the bottom, just to fit a 45 tooth pinion. So, how were you able to fit a 50t pinion?
