tom235: if you are referring to the pivot ball suspension that is from the NTC3, I once thought of doing this too. Only problem is that those parts are made for a nitro car and as such are considerably heavier than the ETC3 parts. Yes they may have an edge on tunability, but that is offset by the added weight of the car after the conversion.

rcracer333: the milling of the center brace is quite common among TC3 racers. Ive done it myself. There is a website that goes into detail on how to do this mod as well as a few others, but the link i have for is comes up "cannot find server". basically youll want to mill out about 1cm of the center brace using a drill press or dremel. it really isnt as hard as it sounds and its effects are quite noticable. once youve milled the centre brace, use some high density foam to keep the batteries pushed toward the center of the car.

that is the link but it doesnt seem to work at the moment.

hope this helps

I was thinking about milling out my chace and cuting some spots out what do guys suggest?
Go for it! I did mine a couple of weeks ago. I have very little experience with any machining but a couple of hours with a Dremel and I sorted it out.

Just go slow, take a little bit off at a time and you should be OK. I clamped my chassis to the desk so it wouldn't move. A hacksaw blade seems to be the best way to extend the battery slots.

I'm debating whether or not to do some cutting on my chassis. I mean I would like to lighten it up a bit, but then again, my hands aren't that steady. Might end up splicing the chassis in half...

i am talking about the ntc3 i just think it would give you more in the long run.most the weight would on the out side and i don't think it would efect it that much.
im not sure it would be worth it was just a crazy idea i had

here's a nice pic of the nitro rack on a tc3. rack positioning actually made the car handle more precisely ...
