Well since that site is gone, is there another one somewhere, im about to pick up a tc3, the last one i had i got rid of two yrs ago, so im outa the loop, and would like to get back in.

id prefer not to have to read through all the pages of this thread but i suppose if theres no other place to get info, thats what ill do

Just pick up the XXX Main (I think) Touring Car tuning book at your LHS. That is like the Bible for tuning these 4wd beasts, IMO.

ive seen that thing b4, does it have stuff like how to put the ntc3 steering in a tc3 or how to move the batterys inward with some dremel work? or whatever it is that people are doing to the gear boxes to make em smooth?

the easy way to make the drive train smooth is just to go buy the TC4 diff cases. they are ultra smooth from the factory without any dremel work at all...

I know that that book explains how to tune your car, tells you what different terms mean, explains what happens when you adjust different components, and generally why your car is doing what it is doing. As to "kitbashing" I don't know but don't think so.

If you're still interested in hosting Freeservers isn't too bad. They use templates which kinda limits you but if you can write HTML you can get around it. I use it for my website and a friends that I built.

i need some new diff cases for my tc3 what makes the tc4 cases diffrent? i keep striping the screw holes out of the bottom half on both my diff cases is thier anyway to fix it? so the screw tightens down, i heard you can put i tiny strand of wire for like a strand of speaker wire in the striped out hole and then when you put the screw in and tighter because of this wire in their?

The tc4 diff cases are just much better. They have less material where the bearing goes so you don't have to dremel anything to make your drive train spin free. As far as stripping the diff cases, I heard you can helicoil the screw holes. But that is way too much work for me.

Anytime you are re-inserting a screw into plastic always first turn it counter clockwise (unscrewing it) with a little downforce, you will feel the screw "drop" into place, stop there and tighten the screw. You can also try 5-40 screws. Same 3/32" ball driver, just a bit larger, seem to not strip as much. You will need to drill out the top half of the diff case so the screw is not tight.

I put these on my dog bones, and I can't seem to keep them from coming out! Anybody else had this and solved it? Super Glue?

it is a metal screw sleave you can tap in to the plastic. I have seen people do it to their diffcases but it is way to much work for me.
