Default ALUMINUM PARTS

I have tried, GPM, IRS, tobee craft and SQUARE on the TC3.

I prefer the build quality of the SQUARE parts. So if you plan on changing the knuckles get the ones from RC-SQUARE they have 2 versions one is the exact replica of the TC3 and the other is the LOSI XXX-s, and they come in BLUE!

I agree with speedo that the IRS is not that true, have changed it to SQUARE.

they have a lot of cool stuff for the TC3.

I disagree with this, mine (and I have several) spins perfect. The spur gear is perfect. Don't crank the screws down so you warp the spur.

The problem with the plastic spur gear mount isnt the screws used to mount the spur. What ive experienced is the pin slowly enlarges the slot in the plastic causing side to side slop, and then if not replaced widens the slot enough to get a forward-backward slop which causes uneven meshing and wear on the spur.

With that, how do i order from that site and what is the price of the spur gear hub shaft?

The IRS spur gear mount actually wears just as fast as the stock plastic one, and it costs 4x+ as much, although it is pretty.

I just change my stock one every few months as well as the input shafts, although I always leave my pinion and spur (in the gearboxes), since those are broken in and mesh well (and thus are smoother).

I've gone through several of the stock spur gear mounts, and a few spurs with each one, and they never spun true. I don't know what the IRS part is like, but I got the Trinity mount and that fixed my problem. Maybe I just got some bad parts, but it makes sense to me that a molded part cannot be as precise as a machined part due to the inherant cooling and shrinking of the composite used in the stock mount, which could easily cause the surface not to be flat, and not a perfect right angle with the input shaft.

How do I buy some of those Sqaure parts?!?!?! They have nice body mount braces from what it looks like... as well as some gorgeous blue aluminum things that would be a great waste of money and would look great on my car. Does anyone know of any US distributors?

Moulded parts do vary in consistency and thats a fact. I have to say though that I never had a problem with mine, but I was very careful to tighten the screws uniformly and not to clamp them down too hard. A machined part will almost always be better (assuming it is well machined) especially if it's a rotating part. However, they are not necessarily lighter....

Leave the lap times do the talking guys!

Hey, does anyone have a setup using, pink, magenta, and/or platinum foam tires? I run indoor asphalt that has medium/ high traction. I normally run purple(rear), dbl. purple(front), but the pinks, magentas, and platinums came with a box of foams that I bought.

This is one cool place, that's for sure! It's good fun looking back over the old pages - but all 260 will take you a while

There have been loads of carpet set-ups - one is bound to work for you.

Many advise to use Barry Baker's carpet setup as a base and fine tune that.

Personally, I think it's better to improve your car bit by bit to suit your own style of driving and arrive at a setup that way. There is no right set-up. If a change improves your times - keep it, if not - don't. I reckon this is the way to learn, too.

For the P2k 2, I reckon you'll be using pinions in the region of 22 - 25 teeth, depending on the size of the track.

That an overall ratio range of 1:8.18 - 1:7.20

Somewhere within that range you'll find gearing to suit your indoor track.

BTW, I don't use rollout for rubber tyres - I stick to counting teeth.

Rollout is for foamies
