i tried the filled center brace yesterday, and i struggled with a set up almost all day. i wasnt used to the rigid chassis because i have been running with a cut brace for a while as well as the flex that came from milling it. once i find a decent set up i think it will be ok.

BTW- i saw mike dumas walk in yesterday with a losi shirt on and a losi G+ and losi hauler bag. he said hes going to be running for team losi for the next 2 years. although the new car doesnt seem to have slowed him down any.

It might not be a good time to switch when the outdoor roar nats are at a track with a 200 ft straightaway.

Has anyone tried the yokomo diaphragm shock caps with the tc3 shocks? Is this just a way to get equal amounts of oil in all 4 shocks so they all have the same amount of pressure.

I saw Mike Dumas racing the New Losi xxx graphite sedan at RC Madness this weekend and he put a major smackdown on the competition. It was fun watching him race.

I guess he is fast no matter what he races. He looked settled in with his new Losi gear!!

Happy Motoring!!!

Sherman... back when Tamiya had the TAO3 out with a front mount motor, i tried a front drive setup at a local race as well. It definitely drives different than 4WD, and i thought with the motor over the front tires, the car would have optimum grip for forward motion. Well... it was fun to say the least. But inherent to the design of front wheel drive, it would push coming into the corner... and the tires would chatter trying to get traction coming off the corner. Now TC (and tire) technology has come a LONG way since then... but it would seem to me that setup would require more bound in the front shocks than rebound... to resist the lift of the front end caused by adding throttle on acceleration. But anything other than that would be strictly conjecture, and unbased opinion. That day i finished 2nd in the A to a field other HPI pro 2's and tamiya TAO3's. But i was waaaay over-driving the car to do that. i wish ya luck though!

I dont want to speak for Dumas, but he told me he is running for Losi and Fantom now.

He also told me he was running my design milled chassis at the Nats!!! Sweet!!! I'll have three Graphite ones done in a few weeks. Sorry for the delay-but the enthusiasm for the mileed chassis is greater than the actual demand-if you know what I mean!!!
