I use the BRP and down at Snowbirds I got rear ended going into a turn and the car hit the Left Rear Tire and bent my pin. It all depends on the type of Walls you have and how a car hits you. The Pin was bent big time but the arm did not break. I had about 20 degrees of rear Toe out on the car after that hit...but finished the race . Luckily I put a lap on the field and the car that hit me was the second place car.

I got "tapped" quite a bit at the birds too. I just tore my car down last night to goto a local points race, and to my amazement... i had NO bent pins! Since i have switched to the BRP pins, i think i have bent two. But they were in Armageddon-style wrecks with lap traffic. The standard pins are good for.... well.... taking up space in my parts box! The Ti pins i have never bought... the general consensus on them was bad, so i stuck with what worked!

Threaded shocks, Ti turnbuckles, and a full set of springs.

Diesel

Also get the optional caster blocks and suspension mounts.

I like the Trinity blue foam front bumper, and BRP rear nerfwings to keep things nice and protected.

How do I blue print the diff housing? I am trying to make my Tc3 as smooth as possible, and the only thing I know how to do is take off one seal of the bearings. Any other suggestions?

Thanx

Also what are those nerf wings?

just remove some material from where the diff bearings sit. put the case together and see if it spins freely. also check to see if the diff falls out of each half when flipped over.

make sure you remove some material from side wall where the bearing site and not the actual seat where the outer race sits. you are just trying to increase side to side play.

Ok..are you trying to increase play from side to side... or up and down for the bearing?? I guess you are trying to make sure the bearing isnt pinched when the tranny cases are screwed together? Or make sure the diff is free between the bearings? I have noticed some cases are tight on the bearings when the two halves are put together. On one side of the tranny case where the shock tower is lowest and closest to the bearing, when you tighten the screw that holds the tower in place, it will dimple the plastic, and press on the outer race of the diff bearing. But as far as side to side play for the diff between the bearings goes... i still have to use some of the standard shims to get rid of the excess play. (spaced to allow a looser mesh with the gear case pinion) Is this because i am still using the older gear cases that were updated for the NTC3? Were the tolerances changed from the old cases to the newer? Maybe i just misunderstood the previous question.
