Im not sure what effect it will have on the handling but Im just testing. The sole reason I chose to put the weight in the center is from seeing some fast guys do it that way. I going to put the front end on the rear end also when I put the car back together. Not only do I want adjustabletoe in but I would like to place ball ends where it will act like 4w steering, any suggestions on that one?

just email me.

Stock diff RTR is 12g's
Spool is 5.8g's RTR.

josh cyrul put one of those on his car for cleveland and all of the AE guys made fun of him for it, and he didnt make the A. He eventually took his off, and this is for carpet, where the motor has the most stress. outdoors in hot weather also its really not worth it, mind as well just put a heatsink on it.

Look closely, BK had one too. I heard of them popping up at a lot of big races. I have also heard some mod motors getting so hot as to melt the solder. I believe the fan was the solution to the problem.

I mounted one as well, but I'm not gonna keep it. I could only find a 12v and it won't spin at full speed with a 7.2v pack. Also, I don't think it did much for me.

The new Orion motor will have an optional fan.

Hey Phantom,

About half a year ago I was trying to tell people about those Schumacher mini pins and rally tyres but hardly anyone believed me, now theres some photos to prove that they do exist. They are fantastic on carpet aren't they! Where did you get them from?

stormperson,
Josh's fan worked great. While he was doing R&D work on new mods at our local track, he lowered his comm & brush hood temps by 30-40deg. with that fan. It was enough to keep all the solder joints on the motor from un-soldering, while making run time with some crazy winds. The fan had nothing to do with him not making the A in Cleveland.

Hey NTC3NUT,

I mounted a 12v fan at the end of the motor and connected ti directly to the esc leads, which means is spins with the throttle output.

Have you found a 7v fan? I can't find less than 12v and I wonder what the impact would be with only a 19t. Personally, I think I've got too much time on my hands. lol

Keep staring at the bottom of the chassis around the motor and back at my Dremel, but I just cleaned the car after the last round of milling...
